Caribbean Foundation of Boston

The Caribbean Foundation of Boston is a nonprofit agency that was established in 1973. The organization was founded by a group of Caribbean women who wanted to expand home care for their culturally diverse and economically disadvantaged community. Our goal is to prevent unnecessary institutionalization and assist and support families with care giving. In addition, our staff who are local residents, receive training and stable employment which contributes to the economic health of our community.

United Barbadians in Massachusetts

The United Barbadians in Massachusetts (UBIM) has been formed with the full support of the Consulate General of Barbados in New York. UBIM foresees preparations of the Barbados Independence Gala held annually in the month of November. One of our goals is to provide an avenue whereby Barbadians of all generations residing in Massachusetts can engage in that will contribute to the social betterment of communities in Massachusetts and Barbados.

Cancer Awareness Fundraising Committee of Massachusetts

In 2017 the Caribbean Foundation of Boston (CFB) and United Barbadians of Massachusetts (UBIM) partnered under the collaborative name of Cancer Awareness Fundraising Committee of Massachusetts (CAFCOM). Our Committee has two goals:To actively engage in fundraising to benefit cancer awareness for the citizens and residents of Barbados and Dominica; and, for fundraising disaster relief. A great attempt will be launched to help rebuild homes for homeless and displaced persons suffering from Hurricane Maria destructionon Dominica. All Donations Are Tax Deductible. Caribbean Foundation of Boston’s 501(C)(3) status (ID # 04-2566212).
