The Friendly Visitors bring a new and caring friend into the lives of elders who often have outlived their relatives or peers.
In collaboration with the Boston Elderly Affairs Commission and the Massachusetts Association for the Blind, this agency has created the Friendly Visitors Program.
This program is designed to address the support and social needs of vulnerable, low-income elders and disabled citizens who cannot afford adequate home care particularly on weekends and holidays when isolated people feel most alone.
Our Home Health Aides assist disabled and elderly clients with shopping and errands, escort them to appointments, exercise, provide light housekeeping, meals, help to organize activities of daily living and encourage hobbies, interests and socialization.
